- Alan Cornall – "Photography" $15.00 (10:30 – 11:30 Nordin Room) Register
- Alan Cornall, a nationally known photographer, has travelled extensively while pursuing his passion for photography. He will share some of his adventures while giving a workshop on how to take great travel digital photos.
- Grant Fuller – "Watercolour Demo" $25.00 (10:30 – 12:00 Hobby Room) Register
- For over 20 years Grant Fuller has been painting and teaching in watercolours. His paintings have won many awards and have been featured in magazines giving Grant international status. He is also the author of "North Light Books, Watercolor A to Z". By means of a demo, Grant will show you how he creates with watercolours.
grantfuller.ca - Brad Grigor - "Making Art with Adobe Photoshop and Corel Painter" $25.00 (12:00 – 1:30 Nordin Room) Register
- Through a series of step-by-step demonstrations, the instructor will illustrate many potent methods for creating artwork with Adobe Photoshop, Corel Painter and a Wacom pen tablet. The presentation has been updated to include the powerful new painting and 3D features of Photoshop CS5. The instructor will show you how to integrate natural media painting such as charcoals, crayons, watercolours, impastos, etc. with uniquely digital tricks, such as 3D, blur, noise, render, layers and blend modes that to instantly create fire, smoke, lightning, star fields, torn paper, etc.
Please note: this is not a workshop on digital photography or photo manipulation, although the techniques might be of interest to digital photographers.
Brad has almost 40 years of experience in computer software programming and marketing. It only made sense that he would combine these two backgrounds in the expression of his art, known as photo-based art.
Turning Point Arts - The Studio Gallery of Peggy and Brad Grigor - Vic Duffhes – "Pottery Demo" $30.00 (12:30 – 2:30 Hobby Room) Register
- Vic Duffhues along with his wife Jo, began their passion for clay in 1979. This demo will be filled with a mixture of throwing, trimming, handling and decorating techniques which Vic employs in their studio. Throwing will include mugs, goblets, pitchers plates... Once trimmed the pieces will have coloured slips applied. A fast and furious two hour demo for sure.
JoVic Pottery, Ladysmith BC - Brian Buckrell – "Acrylic Demo & Talk" $30.00 (2:00 – 4:00 Nordin Room) Register
- Brian has won numerous awards for both his studio and en plein air paintings and has recently been awarded Signature Status (AFCA) by the Federation of Canadian Artists. He has published his first book called It's a Good Start. Brian will present a slide show and talk about his journey on becoming an artist.
Brian Buckrell - Grant Kernan – "About Giclée Prints" $15.00 (3:00 – 4:00 Hobby Room) Register
- Grant is a top-notch photographer, and also a specialist at producing artists prints. "Good enough" is not part of his vocabulary. Grant will talk about the process while demonstrating stretching giclée prints on canvas stretcher bars, plus demonstrating protective coatings.
AK Photos and Digimagiclée - Mark Hobson – "Acrylic Landscapes" $25.00 (10:30 – 12:00 Nordin Room) Register
- Mark Hobson's paintings have been used on stamps, coins and won international competitions. He was awarded Signature Status from the Federation of Canadian Artists. With a presentation of slides and demo, Mark will take you through some of the tips and techniques of making your own painting work.

- Having worked in pastels since 1975, Dan has won his share of awards and is a recognized international artist. Always working from life, Dan will bring a painting to life before your eyes.

- Karen Martin Sampson – "Portraiture" $25.00 (1:00 – 2:30 Hobby Room) Register
- Karen Martin Sampson is an award winning Canadian artist. Her oils and pastels have been described as "dreamlike", "flowing", and "quiet, yet powerful". Karen, well know for her portraiture paintings, will talk about her creative work with a demo.
Karen Martin Arts - Jeff Shields – "Building an Effective Website" $15.00 (2:00 – 3:30 Nordin Room) Register
- Jeff has over 40 years experience in technology and was involved in web development as early as 1990. In the same way that an architect designs a house and the builder builds it, the same holds true for an effective website. Learn what needs to be done to create an effective site.
