Student Art Show

Call for Artists

Island Arts Magazine and EyesOnBC are calling for High-school student artists to submit their work for a juried show to be November 14 & 15th, 2009. This show is open to high-school students Grades 9—12 located on Vancouver Island and the surrounding Islands.

You may download and print as many Student Art Show Registration forms as necessary.

Information

1. All work must be the original work of the submitter, ready for hanging or display completed within the last two years.
2. We are accepting any 2 dimensional fine art-work in the following mediums: Oil, Acrylic, Pastel, Pen and Pencil, or mixed.
3. Artwork can be for sale and must be marked as such. If you do not want to sell your work, it should be marked NFS (not for sale).
4. Exhibition is open to all Vancouver Island and surrounding island high-school students.
5. Submissions will be adjudicated by well-know international artists Ken Kirkby and Olivia Mennie.
6. Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Prizes are supplied by Opus Framing and Art Supplies.
7. All entries will be handled with care. However exhibition organizers and the Island Arts Expo shall bear no responsibility nor liability for submissions for the duration of the show.

Drop Off:

Pieces along with the application form to be dropped off at the
Sandbar Cafe
6087 West Island Hwy.
Qualicum Bay
starting at 10AM November 7th until November 13th at 6:00pm.

Each piece must to be clearly marked on the front and back with full name and phone number. (use identification tags on the Registration form).

Pick Up:

All pieces to be picked up at the
Lighthouse Community Centre
Qualicum Bay
on Sunday, November 15th between 4:00 - 6:00 pm.
